Privacy Policy
1. Privacy at a glance
We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. This website was designed fundamentally with data minimization in mind (Privacy by Design). On this website, there is:
- No tracking (e.g., Google Analytics)
- No cookies (not even essential ones)
- No external CDNs (fonts and scripts are loaded locally from our server)
Note regarding the CRA Checker: The entire analysis algorithm of the checker runs locally in your browser. The inputs and answers you provide arenever transmitted to our server or to third parties.
2. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Peter Schleining
Email: [email protected]
3. Hosting and Server Log Files
Our website is hosted on our own server located in Germany using the infrastructure solution Coolify. To secure and accelerate delivery, we use the Content Delivery Network and proxy service of Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA) as a processor.
Every time the website is accessed, the web server (Nginx) automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- IP address
- Date and time of the server request
- Requested resource (URL)
- User agent used (browser type and version)
- Operating system used
This data is not merged with other data sources. The collection of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation, optimization, and security of its website – the server log files must be recorded for this purpose.
Since Cloudflare is a US company, we point out that data may be transferred to a third country (USA). However, Cloudflare is committed to adhering to adequate data protection guarantees within the meaning of the GDPR (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
4. Contact via Email
If you contact us by email, your email, including all resulting personal data (name, inquiry), will be stored by us for the purpose of processing your request.
This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the requests addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was processed.
5. Your Rights (Data Subject Rights)
Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to rectification, restriction of processing, deletion of this data, or data portability.
In addition, you have a right to object to the processing if it is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest).
In the event of violations of data protection law, you have a right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority for data protection issues is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW).
